SUBMISSIONS
Q. What is the BIC Fest exhibition?
A. The BIC Fest exhibition is a curated showcase of 100+ Korean and international independent games. For two days, indie developers will demo their upcoming and recently released games and receive feedback from other developers and the public. All attendees are eligible to vote for the audience choice award.
Q. When is the deadline for the BIC Fest exhibitor registration?
A. The deadline for applications is 11:59pm (Korea Standard Time) on August 7th, 2015.
Q. When will I know if I am selected for exhibition?
A. Selected exhibitors will be announced on August 14th, 2015.
Q. Does it cost anything to attend BIC Fest?
A. No, admission to the entire BIC Fest is free. Exhibitors and the public can participate in the festival free of charge.
Q. How will exhibitors be selected? What are the criteria for exhibitor selection?
A. Applications for the exhibition are open to any independent teams of 10 people or less. The BIC Fest committee will follow a screening process to select the exhibitors. We’re looking for the following criteria:
-Games in these four categories: mobile, PC/console, VR/installation, board game
-Upcoming games (with a playable demo) or games released within the last month are preferred.
-Games with unique mechanics, a compelling artistic style, or other innovative elements are preferred.
Q. I’m not a Korean developer. Can I submit my games to BIC Fest exhibition?
A.Yes, BIC Fest welcomes indie developers from around the world. Our goal is to make BIC Fest an international event for collaboration and networking.
If you are a developer from outside Korea, you will have to provide your own transportation. But we are able to offer accommodation for two nights for exhibitors (up to two people per team) during the festival.

EVENT
Q. Is there any transportation or accommodation in Busan arranged by BIC Fest?
A.Yes, for the exhibitors coming from outside of Busan, BIC Fest offers complimentary transportation from Seoul to Busan and accommodation in Busan.
The bus schedule:
September 10th 1pm: Exhibitor transportation bus departs (Seoul to Busan, approx. 5 hrs)
September 12th 6pm: Exhibitor transportation bus departs (Busan to Seoul, approx. 5 hrs)
In addition, the festival has arranged catering services, comforts, and networking parties for attending developers.
Q. How much space does each exhibitor get?
A. Each exhibitor will have a 150 x 80 x 80 (cm) table and some space around it. You can decorate as much as you like within your assigned space as long as you don’t interfere with other exhibitors’ space.
Q. Can I share my space with another developer?
A. Unfortunately, no. Out of respect for all the developers who apply, only the games selected by the BIC Fest committee may be shown during the exhibition.
Q. Can I choose my location on the event floor?
A. Unfortunately, no. Due to the large number of expected exhibitors, we can’t accommodate individual requests. We will do our best to provide everyone with an equal opportunity to showcase their game.
Q. Will there be internet access?
A. Wifi is available throughout the entire BCC building. However, due to the large number of expected participants, the signal may not be reliable. Please ensure that your game can be played without a network connection. If your game requires internet access, please contact us in advance at support@bicfest.org.
Q. Will there be translators present to help speak with the media?
A. Yes, there will be English to Korean (and vice-versa) translators available during the exhibition.
Q. Does my game have to be localized into Korean / English?
A. No, localization is not required. But localization into Korean will be helpful if possible. We recommend preparing English and Korean press materials for the media in attendance.
Q. Will we be able to meet with and talk to publishers?
A. Yes, publishers and sponsors will be in attendance throughout the event. Also, we are hosting a networking party on the second night of the festival for indie developers, publishers, sponsors, and media.
